Prices per cubic metre (m³) and per delivered load, from 1.5m³ to 9m³; the per-m³ rate is the same whatever the load size. Delivery is $30 per load to most Christchurch suburbs and Kaiapoi, any load size. Delivery charges for other areas.

How to choose your firewood
1. Choose your size. How many cubic metres you need. A car boot holds about 0.5m³, our trailers 1.5m³, and delivered loads run from 1.5m³ to 9m³ in 1.5m³ steps. Most homes use close to 6m³ a year.
2. Choose your strength. Softwood, medium or hardwood. Harder wood burns hotter and longer, so it costs more but gives you more heat per piece.
3. Choose how dry. Water in wood gives you no heat, and kiln drying takes more of it out than any summer in the sun can. Our kiln dried lights first time, burns hot and clean, and is ready the day it arrives, any time of year. Prefer to save and do a bit yourself? Air dried and seasoned woods cost less, and Semi-dry and Dry It Yourself cost less again if you have an airy spot and a few months up your sleeve.

Where we deliver. Delivery charges, load sizes and the most ordered woods for each town: Rolleston, Rangiora, Kaiapoi, Lincoln, Prebbleton, West Melton, Tai Tapu and Springston, Woodend and Pegasus, Ohoka and Mandeville, Darfield and Kirwee. Garden products: $60 delivery in the local Christchurch area, more for outer areas.
Free trailers. Our 1.5m³ trailers are free to borrow with a wood purchase. We can load your truck or trailer, or you can use our loading bays to fill your car at no charge. A car boot holds about 0.5m³.
How much do I need?
A car boot holds about 0.5m³ and our trailers 1.5m³. Delivered loads run from 1.5m³ to 9m³. Across a year our average home takes close to 6m³, and a household burning most evenings through winter is usually a 6m³ order. If it’s your first winter with a burner, 3m³ now and another load once you can see how fast it goes is a common way to start.
Firewood dryness options
Kiln dried
Dried in our kilns at high temperature, which takes the moisture out further and more evenly than a summer in the sun can. Every load is the same, it lights first time, burns hotter with less smoke, and is ready whenever you need it, mid-winter included. This is the wood we built the business on and the one we recommend.
Semi-dry
A lower-cost convenience option. We partially dry it; you give it another 2–3 months somewhere with good airflow (not straight into a closed garage) before it’s ready.
Dry It Yourself
Our lowest-cost option. Cut from logs and delivered soon after, with full drying instructions so you can finish the job and save. You take responsibility for drying it correctly, so it suits people with a good airy spot and a bit of lead time. Available for delivery October to December only.
