Kiln Dried Oregon Firewood

Ready to burn the day it arrives — kiln dried to a consistently low moisture content, so you get Oregon's longer, more sustained heat every time.

Oregon is a medium-density, clean-burning wood that is relatively easy to get going and one of our most popular firewood options.

It can be burned on its own or mixed with other species. Oregon burns more slowly than Pine, giving you longer-lasting, more sustained warmth, while still being easy enough to get your fire established.

Oregon is a particularly useful all-rounder when you want something between fast-burning softwoods and heavier hardwoods.

Burn it on its own for a steady, clean fire, mix it with Pine for a hot fire that is easy to maintain, or use it to build a good base before adding a hardwood such as Blue Gum.

Its medium density gives you a balance of easy lighting and longer burn time, making it a reliable choice for everyday heating.

Kiln Dried

Our Kiln Dried Oregon has been dried in a controlled kiln environment, removing moisture and producing consistently dry, ready-to-burn firewood.

The high temperatures used during kiln drying also help kill or reduce mould spores and other microorganisms naturally present in wood, making it a particularly convenient option for storing and using around the home.

Wood size

We cut most of our firewood to approximately 10–12 inches (25–30cm). This is the standard size supplied with online orders.

As with all natural firewood, individual pieces will vary slightly in size and shape.
