Kiln Dried Macrocarpa Firewood

Ready to burn the day it arrives — kiln dried to a consistently low moisture content, so you get Macrocarpa's balance of easy lighting and lasting warmth every time.

Macrocarpa is a medium-density wood, sitting between faster-burning softwoods such as Pine and denser hardwoods such as Blue Gum. It is relatively easy to light and can be burned on its own, while lasting longer than Pine.

Kiln Dried

Our Kiln Dried Macrocarpa has been dried in a controlled kiln environment, removing moisture and producing consistently dry, ready-to-burn firewood.

The high temperatures used during kiln drying also help kill or reduce mould spores and other microorganisms naturally present in wood, making it a particularly convenient option for storing and using around the home.

Wood size

We cut most of our firewood to approximately 10–12 inches (25–30cm). This is the standard size supplied with online orders.

As with all natural firewood, individual pieces will vary slightly in size and shape.
