Kahikatea

Kahikatea or known as White Pine, is a soft to medium wood similar to Oregon in density and grain, but burns hot like Pine.

We have a limited supply of Kahikatea firewood that was cleared from a forest on the West Coast for another purpose. It is native to New Zealand and one of our tallest trees growing to over 60 metres in height! They are an important native species, and while we can't stop the loss of them, we can support New Zealand's ecosystems and the growth for more native forests.

This October and November we have a limited offer! For every m3 of Kahikatea you buy, we'll fund the planting of a native tree through a donation to Trees That Count, a charity planting native trees across Aotearoa to fight climate change and protect biodiversity. A great way to give back 🌱
