Our best-value way to buy Oregon ahead of time and do the drying yourself.

Oregon is a medium-density, clean-burning wood that is relatively easy to get going and one of our most popular firewood options.

It can be burned on its own or mixed with other species. Oregon burns more slowly than Pine, giving you longer-lasting, more sustained warmth, while still being easy enough to get your fire established.

Oregon is a particularly useful all-rounder when you want something between fast-burning softwoods and heavier hardwoods.

Burn it on its own for a steady, clean fire, mix it with Pine for a hot fire that is easy to maintain, or use it to build a good base before adding a hardwood such as Blue Gum.

Its medium density gives you a balance of easy lighting and longer burn time, making it a reliable choice for everyday heating.

Dry It Yourself

Our Dry It Yourself Oregon is delivered soon after splitting and needs to be dried and stored correctly before it is ready to burn.

We provide detailed drying instructions to help you get the best results, but with this option you are responsible for ensuring the wood is correctly dried and stored before burning.

Wood size

We cut most of our firewood to approximately 10–12 inches (25–30cm). This is the standard size supplied with online orders.

As with all natural firewood, individual pieces will vary slightly in size and shape.
