Blue Gum is the main hardwood that we offer all year round. The high-density wood burns for longer and burns hotter - working out to be very cost effective in the long run.
When burned correctly, with a good base to enable it to burn efficiently, Blue Gum will provide a consistent, long burning fire.
Our Dry it Yourself Blue Gum is freshly cut from green logs. Because Blue Gum is a dense hardwood, it needs plenty of time to season before it’s ready to burn efficiently. We recommend leaving it stacked outdoors in a sunny, well-ventilated spot for at least 6–9 months. For the very best results, allow up to 12 months of drying. This ensures your wood burns hotter, cleaner, and gives you the longest-lasting fire.
