Seasoned Pine Firewood

Naturally dried and ready to burn — our lower-cost alternative to kiln dried, giving you Pine's fast light-up and quick heat at a better price.

Pine is a popular firewood because it lights easily, gets hot quickly and burns efficiently.

As a softwood, Pine burns faster than many medium and hardwood species, making it particularly useful when you want to get a fire going quickly or use it as a mixing wood alongside longer-burning firewood.

Why choose Pine?

Pine is the easiest of our firewoods to get going, making it the natural choice when you want heat quickly and without fuss.

It burns well on its own for a fast, hot fire, and it is just as useful as a starting and mixing wood. Build a hot base with Pine, then add a medium or hardwood such as Oregon, Macrocarpa or Blue Gum once the fire is up to temperature.

Because it is a softwood, Pine burns through faster than denser species, so it suits shorter fires or use alongside longer-burning firewood.

Seasoned

Our Seasoned Pine has been dried naturally over time rather than in a kiln. The moisture content is not as low as our kiln dried firewood, but it is dried to a high standard and is ready to burn.

Seasoned firewood is our lower-cost alternative to kiln dried, and suits customers who are happy to store their wood in a dry, well-ventilated spot before use.

Wood size

We cut most of our firewood to approximately 10–12 inches (25–30cm). This is the standard size supplied with online orders.

As with all natural firewood, individual pieces will vary slightly in size and shape.
